The week just keeps getting better here at Four Leaf Clover Stable. We just purchased a portion of this handsome unraced 2 year old. He is the son of Tapit who has been one of the top sires in horse racing the last couple of years. He was purchased for $400,000 at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sales. His daddy Tapit won the famous Wood Memorial Stakes and the next race was beaten by local hero horse Smarty Jones in the Kentucky Derby. We are teaming up once again with the majority partner being Spendthrift Farms and will be trained by Hall of Fame trainer Steve Asmussen. Steve has trained an amazing 8,727 winners as of this date 1/24/20. He has been training in Ocala Florida and will head to Kentucky sometime in the spring. We will keep you posted on his progress. It should be an exciting spring and summer this year.
We recently purchased shares of this Into Mischief and My Lady Lauren 2 yr old Filly. Her sire Into Mischief only ran 6 times before being injured but never finished anywhere other than 1st or 2nd. Majority shareholder will be Kentucky based Spendthrift Farms. She will be trained by Hall of Fame trainer Todd Pletcher. She was purchased for $385,000. A side note: She was born on Valentines Day 2018. How can you not love her?
We have purchased a percentage of shares of this 2 yr old Filly out of Munnings and My Sweet Addiction. Both parents are Graded Stakes winners. This horse was purchased at the Keeneland Sales for $385,000 and again teaming up with Spendthrift Farms. She is training on Ocala Florida and will be sent to trainer Brad H. Cox in Kentucky. This horse was bred to be a Sprinter as designed from her parents. Stay tuned.
This Filly out of Medaglia D' Oro and Venetian Sonata was born in mid May 2018 so she will have a later start in 2020. She is growing nicely into her body right now. Purchased at the Keeneland Sales for $620,000. The famous Spendthrift Farms is also the majority shareholder of this Filly and after her training in Ocala Florida will be sent to Richard Mandella in California once she is ready. Richard has trained horses such as Omaha Beach, Rock Hard Ten and Beholder. More to come.
We welcome this 2 yr old out of the late great Pioneerof the Nile and Sapucai. Pioneerof the Nile was an absolute specimen who finished second in the Kentucky Derby behind Mind that Bird in 2009. She was purchased as a 1 year old yearling for $275,000 at the Keeneland Yearling Sales. We take part with Spendthrift Farms again as the majority shareholder. Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert will train her in Southern California after she does some training in Florida. Stay tuned for the naming and updates.
Welcome in LANE WAY. A strapping 3 year old colt by Into Mischief and out of the mare Corderosa. He was purchased for $550,000 from the OBS March Sale. It was no surprise he received the attention he did once he walked into the sales ring. Fluent motion and massive stride, covering ground extremely efficiently through a quarter mile breeze. He is being trained by Richard Mandella. Majority owner is Spendthrift Farms. He made his racing debut and has finished third all three times in Maiden Special Weight races. The first two at Santa Anita had potential Kentucky Derby prospects in it (Nadal) & (Charlatan). Lane Way has just run into some very tough horses and there is a ton of potential for him as well.
